Obviously, without music, there is no K-pop. However, without people receiving the opportunity to get to know idols, there is little ability to foster a K-pop fandom. Companies understand that and know it is important to create groups who can shine on their personalities alone. The JTBC reality competition R U Next provided opportunities to get to know all of its girls who were competing to become the next big group at HYBE Labels and Belift Lab, even including their Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). But in the end, there were only six finalists who became the group ILLIT (originally written “I’LL-IT”) — and five who would ultimately debut, after predebut member Youngseo left the group in January 2024. To learn a bit more about their personalities, here is the confirmed MBTI for ILLIT members Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha.
ILLIT MBTI for All Members
- Yunah has an MBTI of ENFP.
- Minju has an MBTI of ISTP.
- Moka has an MBTI of ISFP.
- Wonhee has an MBTI of ISFP.
- Iroha has an MBTI of ISFP.
(Additionally, predebut member Youngseo had an MBTI of ESTJ, prior to leaving ILLIT.)
This MBTI information is taken directly from official profiles created for R U Next, and MBTI info appeared in more than one location across the show’s associated Weverse and social media. However, for the sake of specificity and fact-checking, we are linking to official locations on Instagram where you can find each MBTI explicitly: Yunah profile, Minju profile, Moka profile, Youngseo profile, Wonhee profile, Iroha profile. Of course, these are still quite young ladies in the grand scheme of things, and their MBTIs could change with time. Should that occur, this space will be updated accordingly.
As you can see, ILLIT is rather introverted, with only Yunah having “E” for “Extroverted” in her MBTI. This is likely to only endear their fans to them more! What’s even more noteworthy is that Yunah is the only “N” in the entire group, with everyone else being “S.” N and S distinguish how one processes information. N stands for “Intuition,” regarding people who are prone to consider ideas and abstract concepts, whereas S stands for “Sensing,” regarding people who are prone to process information according to what their five senses tell them. (Of course, it’s worth a reminder here that these are generalizations, and MBTI should not be taken seriously as a hard science.) Yunah may be a bit more of a dreamer and abstract thinker than the other I’LL-IT members.
Additionally, everyone in ILLIT is currently a “P,” as opposed to a “J.” J stands for “Judging” and refers to people who are more prone to planning, structure, and step-by-step processing. P stands for “Perceiving” and refers to people who are more prone to spontaneity and flexibility. As such, I’LL-IT may enjoy a lot of spontaneity in how they spend their time together!
That is everything there is to know about the MBTI of ILLIT members Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha, to get a small glimpse of their personalities. They’re a largely introverted bunch of girls who like to go with the flow, if you believe the MBTI letters — but there’s much more to them than can ever be described by just a few letters of the alphabet!
