Some might argue that there are too many idol survival competition series these days. However, regardless of where you fall on that subject, you are probably happy that HYBE and Belift Lab used R U Next to create the K-pop girl group ILLIT (originally written as “I’LL-IT”). Technically, since the group has not debuted yet (but will soon enough), all images of the members are currently predebut. But setting that technicality aside, we are collecting images of all the ILLIT members from when they were younger, before the time of R U Next! Yunah Predebut Photos
Yunah is the oldest member of ILLIT and trained for five years. She loves video games and is known for her silly personality, but she also has a model’s beauty. Even in her childhood photos, Yunah’s passion for entertainment and music shines through! She might be the leader of ILLIT, but it is not yet confirmed.

These next two photos are of indeterminate origin but appear to be Yunah from elementary school.
More photos of Yunah have come to light via @O4Ol15 and @nyaloversclub on Twitter, including middle school photos and early 2020s photos, and there is even video of her singing in elementary school!

Minju Predebut Photos
Minju is the next oldest member of ILLIT. She performed well throughout R U Next, and like Yunah, she too enjoys games. The below photo comes from the official group members Twitter.

Moka Predebut Photos
Moka originally hails from Japan, so it can be presumed that her youngest photos will have been taken there. As no surprise at all, Moka was adorable as a child. Shes likes watching movies with her free time.

Wonhee Predebut Photos
Even back on R U Next and prior to ILLIT, Wonhee was considered one of the most adorable contestants on the show, and she is only that much more adorable in her predebut photos and baby pictures! She always had the same huge eyes and pinchable cheeks, making it a challenge not to fall in love with her.

Iroha Predebut Photos
Like Moka, Iroha is originally from Japan, and she is just absolutely precious in her childhood photos, predebut from ILLIT. It is hard to imagine Iroha being anything but an idol.

Former Member Youngseo Predebut Photos
Youngseo was victorious in R U Next but officially left the group and ended her contract with Belift Lab prior to debut. Nonetheless, we have predebut photos for her as well. Youngseo has big pretty eyes and big cute ears to go with them. They’re a set! She enjoys making beaded rings in her free time. The first predebut imagery for Youngseo that had been officially released through ILLIT social media were a couple video clips of her eating, and Youngseo joked that she must have had some past aspiration to do mukbang. You can view the relevant tweet below.
In actuality, those clips are drawn from a YouTube channel she used to maintain under the name 체리자몽 (“Cherry Grapefruit”). Under that name, Youngseo prominently featured in a Mylynn TV video about making “slime,” published on February 28, 2018.
Here is another image of young Youngseo from the official ILLIT members Twitter, from a tweet in which she wished everyone a happy Chuseok for 2023.
