Twice made their debut in the K-pop world on October 20, 2015 with the mini-album The Story Begins and the lead single “Like Ooh Ahh,” whose music video premiered on the same date in South Korea. The Story Begins contains six songs in total, whose English names follow: “Like Ooh Ahh,” “Do It Again,” “Going Crazy,” “Truth,” “Candy Boy,” and “Like a Fool.” The video for “Like Ooh Ahh” is particularly memorable, in that it involves a zombie invasion with a lot of extras in heavy makeup, yet the video and song are otherwise cute, light, and infectious. The Story Begins has sold more than a quarter of a million copies in lifetime sales in South Korea, and it had sold 4,000 copies in the United States as of May 2019. Considering that North American K-pop fandom was in a state of relative infancy at the time of the album’s release compared to the current moment, 4,000 copies could be deemed appreciable sales.

Besides a press showcase that occurred on the day of their debut, Twice performed for the first time on October 22, 2015 on M Countdown with “Like Ooh Ahh” and “Do It Again.” In the years since, Twice has gone on to achieve incredible levels of acclaim.
