In the best-case scenario, “project” groups created from TV competitions are a win for everyone. Budding idols get exposure to start their careers, overlooked veteran idols can finally earn recognition, and all of the companies involved get to make some money. Along those lines, the 2021 survival competition Girls Planet 999 created nine-member project girl group Kep1er, and nothing but good has come of it since. Kep1er debuted on January 3, 2022 with the mini-album First Impact and the lead single “WA DA DA.” To learn how old the Kep1er members are now, here is the current age and birthday for Yujin, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Youngeun, and Yeseo.

Current Age & Birthday to Explain How Old Kep1er Members Are

• Yujin is 27 years old and was born on August 12, 1996.
• Xiaoting is 24 years old and was born on November 12, 1999.
• Mashiro is 24 years old and was born on December 16, 1999.
• Chaehyun is 22 years old and was born on April 26, 2002.
• Dayeon is 21 years old and was born on March 2, 2003.
• Hikaru is 20 years old and was born on March 12, 2004.
• Huening Bahiyyih is 19 years old and was born on July 27, 2004.
• Youngeun is 19 years old and was born on December 27, 2004.
• Yeseo is 18 years old and was born on August 22, 2005.

With that in mind, at the time Kep1er debuted back in January 2022, the members were the following ages: Yujin was 25, Xiaoting was 22, Mashiro was 22, Chaehyun was 19, Dayeon was 18, Hikaru was 17, Huening Bahiyyih was 17, Youngeun was 17, and Yeseo was 16. That makes Yeseo the maknae (“youngest member”) of Kep1er. Meanwhile, Yujin is both the oldest member of Kep1er and also its leader. (Mashiro is co-leader.) Prior to Kep1er, Yujin had been a member of the girl group CLC, which was officially (and unceremoniously) disbanded by Cube Entertainment in 2022.

Despite being the youngest member, Yeseo had also been in two other groups prior to Kep1er, in addition to being an actress. Yeseo was part of the first generation of CutieL, a kids girl group that began in 2010, and she was part of the girl group Busters between 2019 and 2020. Meanwhile, Huening Bahiyyih is the younger sister of Hueningkai from TXT and Lea Navvab Huening (J’Lea). Lastly, Hikaru had trained at XGALX to be part of XG but had stepped out of that debut process to compete in Girls Planet 999.
