A List of All Official NCT Wish Music Videos – Watch Every MV Right Here
1. “Hands Up” MV (NCT New Team) – October 19, 2023
NCT Wish originally predebuted under the placeholder name of NCT New Team, (We have explained the detailed predebut and debut process in a separate space.) and as NCT New Team, they released their first music video on October 19, 2023 with “Hands Up.” The song has a bouncy, breezy vibe, and the music video has a baseball theme — but there also green globules of… stuff chasing them in the video.
There is an NCT New Team (Wish) reaction video for the “Hands Up” music video, plus a behind-the-scenes video for the MV. Incidentally, a dance practice video was also released for “We Go!,” which was the B-side paired with “Hands Up.”
2. “NASA” Performance Video – January 29, 2024
Ahead of their official debut in February 2024, NCT New Team received their official name of NCT Wish and released a performance video for a new song, “NASA.” The song isn’t especially long, but the lyrics strikingly combine Japanese, Korean, and English, making for a fittingly global song. Regardless, “NASA” is an infectious dance track.
There is a behind-the-scenes video for the “NASA” performance video.
3. “WISH” MV (Japanese and Korean Ver.) – February 28, 2024
NCT Wish officially debuted on February 21, 2024 at Tokyo Dome during SM Town Live 2024 SMCU Palace @ Tokyo, but the music video for their debut single, “WISH,” would be released in Japanese and Korean on February 28, 2024. The two versions of the MV share the same intro and a lot of similar shots, but they actually have slightly different, humorous storylines, involving making people fall in love with each other (or fall in love with… trees?). The videos are as refreshing as the song itself. The “WISH” MVs were filmed in Barcelona, Spain.
There is additionally an NCT reaction video to the “WISH” MVs and a “WISH” performance video.
4. “Songbird (Japanese Ver.) MV” – June 25, 2024
“Songbird” was the first comeback single from NCT Wish, released with B-side “Tears Are Falling.” The songs received Japanese and Korean versions, with the Japanese release occurring one week earlier in Asia. According to SM, “Songbird” brings a hopeful message of flying together to achieve great things. In the Japanese MV, NCT Wish are challenged via a board game to manufacture and deliver “magical star candies to people that grant wishes.”
*. “Songbird (Korean Ver.) MV” – July 1, 2024
The Korean MV for “Songbird” begins in a distinct shop location and lacks the long intro of the Japanese version, but otherwise, there are some similarities in setting with the Japanese version.
5. “Dunk Shot” MV – September 9, 2024
“Dunk Shot” is a prerelease song for the first Korean NCT Wish mini-album, Steady, which would be released on September 24, 2024. As one would expect, the “Dunk Shot” music video has a basketball theme, and the song has an electric energy to it.
6. “3분까진 필요 없어 (3 Minutes)” MV – September 16, 2024
“3분까진 필요 없어 (3 Minutes)” is another song from the first Korean NCT Wish mini-album, Steady, to receive a music video in the build-up to the album’s release. The video goes for an innocent and cutesy vibe all around, and the song delves into hyperpop.
7. “Steady” MV – September 24, 2024
“Steady” is the eponymous lead single of the first Korean NCT Wish mini-album, Steady. The song combines house, UK garage, and Jersey club sounds, and it is about–going steady, of course. But there is a ghost in a white sheet in the video, to mix things up. Why not?
There is an NCT Wish reaction video for the “Steady” MV.
