The survival competition series I-Land, which aired from June 26, 2020 to September 18, 2020, created a new K-pop boy group at Belift Lab, a joint venture between CJ ENM and what would become HYBE. That group is of course Enhypen! The members of this group proved themselves on camera week after week, and since debut, they’ve only gone on to greater accolades. • Jake is 21 years old and was born on November 15, 2002.
• Sunghoon is 21 years old and was born on December 8, 2002.
• Sunoo is 20 years old and was born on June 24, 2003.

With these birthdays in mind, at the time that Enhypen debuted back in November 2020, we can see that their ages were as follows: Heeseung was 19, Jay was 18, Jake was newly 18, Sunghoon was 17 (nearly 18), Jungwon was 16, and Ni-ki was 14 (nearly 15). Age 14 is typically the youngest age at which a K-pop idol will debut, so Ni-ki is most definitely the maknae (“youngest person in the group”) of Enhypen. Heeseung then is the oldest member of the group, but surprisingly, it is Jungwon, the second youngest member, who is the leader. Heeseung in fact told Jungwon that he wanted him to be the leader!
