Rescene debuted on March 26, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. KST with their first single album, Re:Scene, and lead single “UhUh.” Prior to that, on February 29, 2024 at noon KST, Rescene dropped the pre-release single, “YoYo.” “YoYo” delivered sensuous melody and rich harmonies for listeners, and it is the B-side to “UhUh” on Re:Scene. After that song’s arrival, the Re:Scene promotion schedule began in earnest with various introduction films and concept photos. On the day of debut, the group held a live debut showcase.
Prior to Rescene, some members of the group had already been known to the public. Chiefly, Japanese member Minami had been a finalist on MBC survival competition series My Teenage Girl (2021-2022), and Zena (under her birth name, Kim Gayoung) had been a contestant on Channel A survival competition Stars Awakening (2022). It was revealed in February 2024 that Zena had also been used as a visual model to create the virtual idol group, MAVE.
