BTS isn’t just a tough act to follow; it’s the toughest act to follow. They’re a K-pop group that has been compared to The Beatles in terms of popularity. How do you possibly start something new after that? Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) found its answer in Tomorrow X Together, a boy group that has achieved its own tremendous success, selling millions of albums, touring internationally, and headlining Lollapalooza. So let’s take a look back at when exactly did Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai debut as Tomorrow X Together (TXT).

TXT Debuted on March 4, 2019 with The Dream Chapter: Star and Lead Song “Crown”

TXT debuted on March 4, 2019 with the mini-album The Dream Chapter: Star and the lead single “어느날 머리에서 뿔이 자랐다 (Crown).” The Dream Chapter: Star contained five songs in total, which were as follows: “Blue Orangeade,” “어느날 머리에서 뿔이 자랐다 (Crown),” “Our Summer,” “Cat & Dog,” and “별의 낮잠 (Nap of a Star)”. The music video for “Crown” was released on the day of debut, followed later by a lyric video for “Blue Orangeade” on April 7, and then “Cat & Dog” received a music video on April 25. Finally, “별의 낮잠 (Nap of a Star)” received a music video on June 5.

TXT performed as a group for the first time also on the day of their debut, in TOMORROW X TOGETHER Debut Celebration Show with Mnet.

Big Hit’s vision for TXT was that they would be a “bright and youthful boy band” who unites “under one dream in hopes of building a new tomorrow,” and it was clearly something their fans could feel, setting a path to their current success.

So, Tomorrow X Together made their debut on March 4, 2019 with The Dream Chapter: Star and “Crown” as the lead single, and “Cat & Dog” and “Nap of a Star” subsequently received music videos and single status as well.
